Update successful. Again.

Sorry for any weirdness that you might have witnessed during the last 20 minutes or so. I have just updated both my blogs (this one and the playground/testblog/thingy) to WordPress 2.6.
And again, even though I am still not using the Automatic Upgrade plugin, everything went through without a hitch. I don’t actually see anything new, but I haven’t been looking too hard, either.
As far as I can see from here, everything should be working fine, but if you notice anything amiss, please let me know.

Yikes, there’s another update!? My blog is so outdated now. The Automatic Upgrade plugin won’t even work!

To be honest, I have never even tried the automated upgrade thingy, because I don’t trust it for some reason. And because doing it by hand is so easy by now that I prefer that anyway.
It takes all of 10 minutes usually.
If you want to I can guide you through it for your blog.

but there is some bugs in wordpress 2.6
it can’t use drop down blogroll plugin and Auto social plugin

Well, of course, there will always be plugins that don’t work anymore after a major upgrade of WP. But I’d say that’s less a bug of WP than just the fact that these particular plugins might be out of date.
But since I have never used either of the two you mentioned I can’t say what the problem is in that particular case. But I’m sure there are other plugins that can do the same job and that work with WP 2.6.
