Everybody lies

This week I almost didn’t participate in the TT. Not only didn’t I have time to come up with a proper topic, I had lots of other stuff on my mind as well. But, since I am addicted to this thing, I decided to come up with one of those random lists I so like in other people’s blogs.

1. I had a friend staying over all of last week and not only can he be quite exhausting, but we also spent ages on the computer together, so when he left I decided to take a few “off-computer”-days to recuperate.
   .
2. My internet connection has been very erratic for the last few days, and I just can’t be arsed to try to figure out why.
   .
3. I finally got all 7 seasons of Buffy on DVD and am spending ages watching them all in order again.
   .
4. Instead of playing around I should still be writing job applications, which I don’t. Which in turn makes me feel guilty and stay away from the computer for good.
   .
5. My friend just taught me how to make videos with MovieMaker and how to edit songs with Audacity. Now I’m spending hours to fiddle around with that stuff.
   .
6. I have way too many interesting books lying around here waiting to be read.
   .
7. I’m still writing my Jayne-story, which, although it is growing (about 36 pages at last count), will probably never be finished. But that’s ok, since I didn’t plan to let anybody read it anyway.
   .
8. I have lots of stuff to do in the garden. Even though it’s a crappy summer (way too cold and too much rain, except on the days when it’s searingly hot and dry).
   .
9. I sorted my – literally – hundreds of old slides to decide which ones to throw away and which ones to keep to scan them and then throw them away. It took me hours to go through all the boxes and even though I threw a lot of them away there are still loads left to scan. With my old scanner this will take at least a week or so. But it brought back nice memories of all my travels, which is good, even though it makes me a bit depressed.

10. After a neighbour recently told me that he had his eyes lasered in Istanbul, and even gave me the address of the clinic (www.lasertravel.de) I am doing research to find out if I can get that operation as well. I could just about afford it, but since I am suffering from Glaucoma it is not sure if the operation is possible for me at all. I am having an appointment with my ophthalmologist next week to talk to her about it.

11. Nothing much of interest happened in my life recently, at least nothing that would be worth writing about.

12. I am just the laziest person on earth and couldn’t be bothered to come up with a list of 13 things about anything…
    .
13. I can’t think of another thing to add to this list, which is why I find random lists so damn hard to do. My inspiration usually leaves at around point 8 or so.

Well, that wasn’t too hard this time. And now I’m gonna lean back and wait to see how many people will have trouble finding the right comment link for this post again (a little hint: it’s most definitely not the one under the title for the last post…). I never thought this template would be that hard to figure out, but apparently – as so often – I was wrong again. Happy hunting! LOL
