Sweet tooth, anybody?

Don’t ask me how I found this recipe for these Cranberry-Raspberry Jellies, but they do look mouth-wateringly delicious.

I have neither cranberries nor raspberries handy, but my freezer is still crammed with blackberries. They should work fine for this. I was planning to make more jam, but we already have dozens of jars, and since I am the only one in my family to eat the stuff regularly it will in all probability last me until the next harvest easily. So why not try something new?

Right, somebody hand me a candy thermometer.

  1. If you can get your hands on some agar, you can make some sweet jellies with less sugar and no animal byproducts … well … depends on your definition of animal, I guess. Let’s say no hoofed animals!
