Mt. TBR

samulli on October 22nd, 2007

As everybody on Bookcrossing can tell you Mt. TBR is the official (or not) term for the mountain of unread books (Mount To-Be-Read) we all have on our bookshelves. For some people it is more of a mountain range, and for some people it gets totally out of control because they keep acquiring books faster than they can read them.

I belong to this last group, which is why I decided to keep a list of all my TBR books here.

As of today (26.02.2007) these are all the books on my bookshelves I haven’t read yet. I count 39. Well, that’s not half as bad as I feared. Every new book that arrives here after today will be listed below and every book I read will be printed in italics and show up on my list of books read on my BC bookshelf.

Also, since I know I’m gonna buy and trade and mooch new books all the time anyway, I have amended my New Years resolution a bit: I will try to read at least all the books I acquired last year until the end of this year. We’ll see how far I get with this one.

Well, during the last 4 weeks or so I have actually made some headway with my Mt. TBR. I have read 10 of my books in April, if I haven’t miscounted. Largely thanks to the fact that I had no bookrings coming my way. I’m pretty sure this will change again soon.
