Half a motorbike

Hm, is it just me or does this look a bit - how shall I put it - amputated?
Apparently this is the invention of an 18-year-old bloke from Canada, named Ben Gulak: The Uno.
It has zero emissions, a simple on off switch, and only one wheel (okay, technically it’s two wheels but they are really close together). And as you can see on the next picture, it does actually work.

As such, it is an awesome invention, the more so because the guy is just a teenager. I am deeply impressed. I’m pretty sure it works just fine, even though it looks like it would take some getting used to. From what I understand it works on a similar principle to the Segway (you know, the self-balancing stuff and shifting balance to accelerate or brake). The top speed theoretically is 40mph, which seems pretty sad for a bike. But since it’s powered by an electric motor it’s probably not too shabby.
But still… It’s all very nice to be sensible and eco-friendly and all, but this thing just doesn’t sing.
I’d still rather have the Bat Pod.
