A moving experience
And not in a good way.
I spent the whole day calling people who are subletting their apartments or are looking for flatmates in Leipzig. The good thing is that Leipzig has got a lot of students and a lot of big flats, so there are quite a lot of flatshares available.
The bad thing is that the new semester starts at the beginning of October, so there are also a lot of new students out there looking for a place to live right now.
The really bad thing is that until October, 1st there are only 2 more weeks to go, which makes the search a tad more hectic than I would have liked.
I must have called literally dozens of people today. Half of them weren’t home or didn’t pick up their mobile phones, many others had already found new flatmates – and with 6 others I have made an appointment to view the respective flats on Friday.
Only 2, maybe 3, of them sound nice enough that I would want to share a flat with them, though. So, we’ll see how it goes. I just hope I won’t have to go through this whole rigmarole again next week.
First thing tomorrow I have get me a map of Leipzig to find out where the hell I have to go on Friday. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Good luck! I hope you find a good flat with nice people.
I would already be happy to find any flat at all. LOL
I just tried to find all the addresses on the map I bought yesterday, and luckily they seem all to be not too far away from each other. So at least I won’t have to travel from one end of town to the other every half hour…
